Straight from Mexico City's pandemic and desolate streets comes to Fauna Reve 'Tiempo Local' by Mexican producer Zea. Pseudo-urban rhythms, street sounds, Latin percussions and social rupture merge to create three original cuts, timeless soundscapes dangling in space.
The opener track "Zika" is a nocturnal, visceral and percussive ride mixed with delirious vocals and mind-bending synthesized sounds that reminisce the days when social distancing didn't exist. Next is "Fierro Viejo", with solid drums, remote acid sounds, nostalgic synths and empty tribal vocals that melt like the last stroke of "choco-hongo" on your desk. Lastly comes "Ough", a more energetic cut with fused and penetrating textures, frenetic and distorted synths dissolve in your brain reminding you that everything is relative, an illusion we like to call History.
