Mexican producer Mateo González Bufi, also known as Bufi and Theus Mago, presents the soundtrack of the short film 'El Puente de Los Niños Traviesos', produced entirely with the free software VCV rack.
The soundtrack was recorded before the short was filmed, taking brief descriptions of the characters as inspiration. Later, the short was made taking the music as a reference point for the filming and editing, an uncommon process in cinema. Directed by filmmaker Fabián León López, the short is the story of two brothers who, during a summer, fall in love with the same girl.
The film premiered in 2019 as part of the Morelia Film Festival's Official Selection, and has traveled to other festivals such as Huesca, Curta Kinoforum, Black Canvas, Watersprite, Lebu. It won the award for "Best Fiction" at La Guarimba Film Festival, and was a semi-finalist in the 2020 edition of the Student Academy Awards.
This release features some original tracks that were not included in the final edition of the film, but were included here to give more dynamism and appeal to the music as an independent piece.
